About Sarah...
Hello! My name is Sarah and I was an Elementary school teacher for 15 years. I taught Kindergarten and First grade. I am now a substitute teacher and enjoy having more free time to do what I like to do most- create! I like to work with paper, fabric, yarn, thread, etc. . I make junk journals, tags, cards, mini books, quilts, scrappy tea towels, mug rugs…a little of everything. I love to collect vintage ephemera, too. My husband and I have been married for 22 years and have two kids- 10 & 12.
I’m fairly new to the Postcrossing site, but not new to letter writing or sending post cards. I think it’s so important to keep letter writing alive. I have helped to get my 12 year old daughter interested in it, as she has a couple pen pals. I like knowing that I’m bringing joy to someone’s day when they open their mailbox and have a postcard or letter waiting for them. ☺️
I’m not particular on any certain type of post card, but if I had to list some favorite styles that I like to collect...
-block letter states
-old vintage
-canvas texture
-LouPaper
