About La_Iris...

Hi!
I'm Alexandra, I'm from Russia, Saint-Petersburg. I like reading, cross-stitching and studying foreign languages.

I decided to start postcrossing for my mother (her name is Elena)- she loves beautiful pictures of different countries and cities. She is also interested in traditional clothes and fashion. She also likes the Royal family of Great Britain, so if you happen to be from the UK and have access to postcards with their photos, please send them to me.

I know I can't demand that you send me only particular cards but I always read other people's profiles carefully and try hard to choose the card they would like (I'm very happy when the receiver "faves" the card, even if nobody else likes it), and I'd appreciate it if you do the same for me. Thank you in advance!

We love cards with
- beautiful views of your city, town, village or a landscape - especially mountains and waterfalls
(if you're from the Netherlands - NO tulips, windmills, wooden shoes and cows, please - they all are very pretty, but we already have a few of them, so could you send city views, please? We don't have that many yet. And it'll be interesting to read about what's in the picture. Москвичи - не стесняйтесь присылать виды нашей столицы, у нас их не так много)
- traditional clothes (Patrick Dallanegra's works are most welcome!);
- the British Royal family (or if there is a Royal family in your country, we'll be glad to receive a card depicting them);
- pictures by Čiurlionis.

We DO NOT appreciate
silly cards,
cute cards,
cards with animals,
cards with quotations, wise sayings and other such rubbish,
cards with children,
greeting cards,
ad cards,
free cards,
cards with loving couples (any ages),
Викторию Кирдий (от её пушисто-сопливого стиля просто тошнит).
Please, send them to somebody who does.

If your native language is German, Spanish, Dutch or Polish - feel free to write in your language, I'll be glad to read it. French and Italian are also welcome, but I'm not so sure that I'll be able to understand everything.

Personally, I hate those who say "write something about yourself", "be creative" and so on. If you WANT to write something - you can do it, but if you don't write anything - IT'S ALSO OK.

And we like nice stamps! :)

Thank you all in advance!
