About Laura...

Short version: Any photocard with a beautiful landscape or animal in the wild is great especially with great stamps on the back and a lovely story written on it by you.

Long version: I would lie if I would say I love to receive any card. That’s not true but those that bring a smile on my face are (in no particular order):

-black and white photography (esp. portraits, animals, nature and (details of) things)
-Wildlife photography (really all animals so also strange/ugly ones but have a week spot for tarsiers, dragonflies, frogs and colorful animals)
-nature related photo’s (flowers, plants, trees, leaves, stones, landscape, sea, mountains and so on).
-Maxicards (
-Food (esp. vegetables, spices, herbs, cheese, bread, fruit)
-the German Harenberg-Kalender cards. Love them.
-the country or place you recently have visited or like to go to and tell me why.
-Art (I’m picky at this point so check my favorites)
-beautiful faces
-details, micro and close ups of things like staircases, windows, doors, suitcases, animals, flowers and so on
-(sarcastic) humor like these:
-and every other nice looking postcard you think will make me happy.
Have a look at my favorites to get an idea what I like: or

→Ad, free, folded, recycled (re-use one you got), nice looking cardboard packages and homemade cards (esp. good quality photographs) are also welcome. I do prefer real photo’s over illustrations/drawings. With or without an envelope. I don't mind to received beautiful cards double as often the "postal monster" damages cards. So getting them 2 or 3 times makes the chance bigger that one arrives undamaged :). But if you still want to send me a "new" card or want to have a look at all the fantastic cards I also received via the round robins (Postcrossing forum) then have a look over here:

:( I’m not really very happy with obscene or sexist cards, animal cruelty (like bullfighting, chained wild animals or animals in unnatural postures), Public holiday cards (like Christmas and so), modern Royalty pictures, Anne Geddes babies, Illustrations, Disney/Moomin/Cartoon, 3D and cards for children. Please use those to make others happier.

About me:
I'm 43 years old. I love among other things: reading books, my 4 cats, cooking, eating (out), gardening, playing board games, collecting stamps, phonecards and eurocoins, and of course receiving and sending lots of mail.
I don't register cards I've never received and I don't send unwritten cards.

As postal rates are getting higher and higher (and my income seems to stay the same :() postcrossing is getting an expensive hobby so living next to the German border with lower postage rates makes that I once in a while mail my cards from there.
