So, it's been a 13 days since Russia started the war and we've lost our sleep in Ukraine. It’s impossible to believe that this could happen in the 21st century in a European country. It is impossible to justify Putin's false arguments for bombing peaceful cities and killing people, killing innocent children!
For several days I had to stay in a shelter in the basement of my house building in Kyiv with my neighbors, children, old people and pets. Explosions and shots are heard outside. Yesterday I had to leave my home, my favorite city and my friends. My son is far from me now and I don't know when I will see him again. My son nad a 21th birthday on marth 7, but I will not be able to hug and congratulate him… He is far from me now and we cannot be together
But I am in relative safety. I'm not afraid. I mourn the hundreds of dead Ukrainians and the destruction in cities and villages during these terrible days.
I’m so impressed getting hundreds of messages of postcrossers from different countries with so many kind words! Thank you, dear generous people of the world who support Ukrainians! I’m deeply touched.
Ukraine will resist! I believe in our army and our citizens! But we need the support of the whole civilized world now so much!
Hi! I'm Irina. I live in one of the most beautiful countries of Europe. My home cities are Kyiv and Dnipro. Kyiv is a very beautiful, green (because lots of trees) city with a rich history: Kyiv air video: http://youtu.be/fBGHdqXuD0E. Christmas and New year in Kyiv: https://youtu.be/qIitePl5BjA
Dnipro is one of the largest and most beautiful cities in Ukraine : http://vimeo.com/82329449 There are many large industrial plants, but also many wonderful places to walk. I work in the railway office, so I love everything connected with this type of transport.
