Hello postcrosser friend!

I am Pia, living near Helsinki, the capital. I have loved postcards all my life. Nowadays in this world of e-mails, WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat, fb and whatever other virtual things there are, real paper postcards are even more precious and I appreciate each one which I find in my mailbox. I hang the most beautiful cards on my wall. It's a good chance that your card will end up there too!

I work as a neurologist, such an intriguing field of medicine!

I love to travel and see new places and cultures. I’ve visited 42 countries so far. But when covid outbreak happened in 2020 I started to focus on places in my vicinity, which I had too much ignored before. That has been very rewarding and eye-opening! I guess the world needed this pause and many things seem to have changed for better and more ecological👏

Besides travelling I have some other special interests too. I absolutely adore cats, actually all felines! Cats are the most beautiful creatures in the world, so elegant, they have divinity in motion! We have two such cuties at home, a Bengal cat Tiramisu, and a domestic cat Cappuccino.

I love watching movies, preferably on big screen in a cinema and listening to good music. One artist is beyond all others, though, I am a passionate fan of the King of Pop since 1982 :)

I enjoy amusement parks a lot, want to visit them everywhere I go. I like most the ones with an old-time feel. We have one such lovely park in Helsinki, named Linnanmäki, opened in 1950!

I can't resist delicacies, especially ice cream and chocolate, mmmmm. And salty liquorice, which is extremely popular in Finland. I like to bake cakes and pies. I’m always looking for cosy cafes and abroad I always want to taste local specialities.

Recently I have discovered audio books! I listen to them almost every day whenever I walk, cycle or commute. Please tell me what is your favorite book!

- ❤️cards related to brains or nerves, human anatomy or medicine🧠
- ❤️seasonal cards in that time of year (Easter🐣, Christmas🎅 and ESPECIALLY HALLOWEEN!👻)

Of course that list is just advisory. I like many kinds of cards, just pick one which you would like to receive and hang on your wall yourself! Feel free to surprise me!
