About Kobi...

Kobi is a five kilogram (11 pound) miniature poodle and was born in Germany. He accompanied Christina to the USA after she graduated from German high school and entered Georgetown University as a sophomore, dual majored in chemistry and computer science.

Update: Christina is now a medical student at Georgetown University School of Medicine.

Other members of the family back in Germany include RC, a teenage boy; Dad, a Ph.D. design engineer; and Mom, public relations director of a multi-national company.

Kobi and Christina live near Washington DC at the home of one of her dad's best friends and and his family. Both became lifelong pals when they were doctoral students in engineering at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).

We enjoy receiving Postcrossing.com correspondence from around the world…very few restrictions…any card you feel would be appropriate and suitable for a German poodle and his Miss who is attending university in the USA. Christina scans the postcards and attaches comments…thoughtful cards with a pleasant message receive accolades. OTOH, she has occasionally been accused of having a sharp tongue (I know, it's just the German way) so an inappropriate postcard, to include "junk" cards, will likely elicit an opposite response, sometimes quite cryptic. ;-)

Text written in German, English or "dog" language will be fine. English is preferred…it's always good to get practice in something other than our native language.

Here's a picture RC took of Christina (first girl on the right) and several of her school classmates at the opening day of Oktoberfest 2010. She adapted to the university life in America quite nicely. ;-)

Happy Postcarding!

Christina & Kobi

P.S. We know how irritating it is when people don't register their postcards in a timely manner. If you have sent a card and it isn't acknowledged in a reasonable timeframe, please send the Postcard ID number via the Postcrossing link and we'll register based upon your e-mail.
