About Kirsti...

I am a child minder by profession, I like snail mail (both sending and receiving), going to the cinema, music, nature and all kinds of animals. I also collect stamps. We have 2 fish tanks at home. We have two adopted sons from Ethiopia (born in Debre Zeit in 2000 and in 2005).

From the postcard series "Fauna of Belarus" I have already got the following: Badger, Brown (=European) hare, Fieldfare, Goldcrest, Golden eagle, Little bittern and Red deer.

From the postcard series "Love Taiwan" I have already got: bubble tea and Formosan sika deer.

From USA I would like to get more state bird cards (I have only Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin). If it seems hard to find a state bird card but you can find a state flower card you can send that instead (I have California, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Kansas, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia). [Special thanks to Mary Lou & Greg who went the extra mile and sent me the SEEDS of California poppy]

From the series "Birds of the Brazilian States" I have the harpy eagle (Distrito Federal) and the azure jay (Paraná).

Cards with African motives (especially Ethiopian) would be nice, too. For obvious reasons there are not many people postcrossing in Africa. (Remember: these are just hints, I´ll be satisfied with anything you´ve chosen for me!)

Art by Alphonse Mucha - I have already got the following: Bénédictine, Bières de la Meuse, Chocolat Idéal, Los Cigarrillos Paris, Champagne Ruinart, "The Clove", Flirt (LU biscuits ad), Flower (1894), Fox-Land Jamaica Rum, Gismonda & La Plume (with Sarah Bernhardt), "Ivy", Job, Lance-Parfum "Rodo", Leslie Carter, "Lily", Salome, Salon des Cent exposition, Princess Hyacinth, "Amethyst", "Emerald", "Ruby" and "Topaz" of the Precious Stones, "Dance", "Poetry", "Painting" and "Music" of the four Arts, Monaco/Monte Carlo Chemins de fer, Nestlé´s Food for Infants, The Sea Holly, Cognac Bisquit, Waverley Cycles, Zodiac, "Morning awakening" of The times of the day and Seasons "Autumn", "Winter", "Spring" and "Summer" and "The Moon" and "The Pole Star" from "The Four Stars".

Nice to know: Sometimes US Postal Service affixes a half-inch-wide sticker across the front or back of the postcard. This strip is removable! For a long time I did not know that and cursed the ugly stickers on otherwise beautiful cards, until one day I accidentally noticed that the sticker came off very nicely without damaging the card. It was made removable! I wrote this for those who are yet not aware of this.

Never register a card that you have not actually received. Never ask anybody to do so. It is against the rules (see "Community Guidelines").
