About Katerina...

*********************
Please note that the coming weeks it will take me longer to register any cards that I receive: My hands are recovering from surgery and it is difficult for me to type. If you think it takes too long, please contact me.
*********************

Hello everyone,
My name is Katerina and I live with my husband and daughter in Delft, a beautiful little town near the west coast of the Netherlands.
I am originally from Greece and I live in the Netherlands for the last 23 years. My great-grandmother was Dutch and my grandfather was Italian. I am a visual artist. I love painting, drawing and making different things with my hands. I love books, a walk in the park or the forest and a good cappuccino. I really miss the sun and the greek sea.

I'll be happy with any postcard you choose for me, but you will make me very happy with any of the following:

- UNESCO World Heritage - I just started collecting these cards and I only have from Bellinzona
- PIXAR cards (except from the film Cars)
- landscapes - with strong forms or dramatic light or some other unusual attribute
- special natural phenomena like rock formations, tree-trunk shapes, northern light, mist, waterdrops, waterfalls, volcanoes, lightning, etc.
- animals, especially foxes, owls, eagles, bears, wolves, robins
- black and white old (old-fashioned) portrait photo's and group portrait photo's
- rhythm, patterns and colors, decorative prints or unusual color combinations
- typography
- art
- if you are artistic or crafty, handmade cards are also welcome
- maps of towns or regions
- illustrations of children's books or poems (for Dutch postcrossers: I'd love cards by PLINT)
- SNOOPY, WOODSTOCK and PEANUTS
- people jumping, flying, falling
- people at work - showing their profession
- GORJUSS

My daughter loves looking at all the cards that I receive and she often sees the cards before I do, so please no erotic or nude cards.

I prefer the cards sent without an envelope, it's nice to see the traces of their long journey. I love beautiful, unusual or special stamps.

I'd love it if you can write something on the back of the card: it can be about yourself, why you chose this card, anything you think of...

Please have a look at my latest project: a creative postcard project - a group experiment in visual association: http://receivecreatecombine.wordpress.com
It would be great if you would like to participate too.

Happy postcrossing!

Katerina
