About Kay...

Hello, friends!

my name is Kay and I'm a polyglot. I speak, write and read four languages fluently: English, Russian, German and Japanese and I'm learning several others. Currently, I'm studying Asian Studies in Germany, but I work part-time as a translator and an author. My biggest dream is getting a book published and I hope that I'll be able to fulfill it in 2019.

I've lived in several countries up to this point and don't consider myself a citizen of any specific countries - I'm just a human being like everyone else. On the plus side, I've got loads of interesting postcards to send.

I took a break from Postcrossing for over a year, because of nerve damage in my hands that made writing by hand difficult, but now it's been getting better and better and I hope, you'll all be able to read my writing.

I love talking about East Asian fashion, cooking and learning new recipes, books, movies, art, plants and tea, but I'll be happy to read whatever you decide to write me.

I call myself the local plant boy of my house and I've got ten bonsai trees that I care for deeply. I'm a Slytherin and if I were a Hogwarts student, my favorite subject would be Care of Magical Creatures. I'm actually playing for the Quidditch team of my university and it's loads of fun. I'm also very spiritual and would consider myself a witch, so to my fellow witches I say: Share your wisdom with me.

When I'm not working or studying, I'm probably out hiking or mountaineering, I've climbed Mt. Fuji twice and I'll do it again in the summer of 2019. I also love cycling and I'm playing Pokémon GO every single day. I'm on Team Valor by the way,

That should cover the basics, I'm looking forward to receiving some postcards again!
