About Kasia...

Hello Friends!

My name is Kasia and I've recently relocated to Calgary from Edmonton. Edmonton is the capital city of the province Alberta and is more focused on culture and artistic events meanwhile Calgary is for people who enjoy outdoor activities. I'm enjoying the change because as an avid hiker and a person that is passionate about mountains and nature in general I can finally be very close to Canadian Rockies that are only 40 min drive from Calgary. Although the winter is super long and cold in this part of the country I must admit it is impossible to get bored here as the city and the area has so much to offer! I enjoy being active and go XC skiing or snowshoeing in Canmore, Kananaskis or Lake Louise area. I also like photography and always bring my camera with me.
My hobbies include art especially impressionism and medieval ages, painting in oils, water-colours, and soft pastel, decoupage, mosaic and stained glass...I like medieval castles, reading fiction and non fiction, travelling to warm countries in the wintertime, beaches, sunsets, cats, dogs and horses, music, walks, meeting people....

I enjoy receiving happy and colourful postcards from all over the world.

Please look at my favourites and it will give you the idea of what my preferences are. If you are still not sure what card to send, here are some suggestions:

~ bicycles with baskets and flowers (vintage)
~ people in love
~ inspirational quotes with some nice background picture
~ coffe/tea
~ tea/coffee mugs
~ people drinking coffee/tea
~ cafes
~ food: cookies, fruits, treats....
~ Alexei Dolotov illustrations
~ Irina Zeniuk Blue Cat illustrations
~ scooters, especially vintage ones
~ cottage interiors
~ windows and doors
~ French/Italian landscape, ex: streets, fields of lavender, Tuscany....
~medieval castles from France
~ twins
~ colourful postcards of happy children
~ vintage teddy bears, or teddy bears in general
~ books/libraries/piles of books
~ people reading books/writing letters/drinking coffee….
~ fairies
~ beautiful Angels

I'm not a big fan of typical tourist cards with multiple views as it's often impossible to see what these tiny pictures represent.

If you dont know what to write I will be happy to hear about:
- your favourite quote
- or the book title
- or the favorite memory
- or anything you want to share...

Also, I'd like to ask not to upload cards you send me please. I use the scanner and upload them immediately after receiving.

I'm interested in cards exchange with people from all continents. Please check my gallery and hopefully you can find something you like :)

All the best and hope to hear from you soon! Thank you in advance for all the cards.
