Karuna Rose is a mother-daughter team who loves to learn about you and where you live! Mom is 54 and daughter is 11.

We live in Portland, which is famous for being surrounded by nature and for being very rainy. So you can imagine it's also very green. We live in an 90 year old house, which is old for here, and have a black Labrador dog. Dad and Mom both work in medicine.

Please send us any kind of postcard, but especially one that shows and tells a bit about your part of the world. Or, anything with cute animals. Or, anything related to children in your country. Something with nature would be nice. We really love all your cards.

We love it if you tell us what your day is like, and maybe a phrase to learn in your language, if you speak others besides English. What did you do today? Tell us about your neighborhood and family. Or give us a familiar expression or saying in your land.

We get outdoors a lot, skiing and snowboarding in winter and rafting and camping in summer. We love to read -- do you have a favorite poem to share?
