About Karine...

Hello,

My avatar are not my real mail boxes :(

My name is Karine I'm a 28 year old married lady. I am currently employed with the government of Canada. I have 2 cats and 1 dog, I love pets, I'd have more if I could.
I speak French and English, but my mother tongue is french (meaning I'm french Canadian).

I love meeting new people. When I heard about this website I couldn't help myself, plus I love sending postcards or cards... really anything by snail mail. I think it's great to get something in the mail other than a bill... don't you?

I discovered postcrossing while doing the Day Zero Project (feel free to look up my project, user name is kgirl883)

My hobbies include, but aren't limited to: Reading, skiing, camping, hiking.. anything outdoorsy.

If you have to send me a postcard tell me about yourself and where you live, feel free to say something in your mother tongue with a translation please.

Don't know what to send me... Check out my favorites! (http://www.postcrossing.com/user/k_girl883/gallery/favourites) You can also look up the postcards I've already received here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/k_girl883/

I'm not picky, but would love to get orignal cards in envelop please.

I collect Did you know cards from Canada here are the ones I' already have http://www.flickr.com/photos/k_girl883/sets/72157626807786329/
I also collect Nouvelles Images, Here are the one's I've already received: http://www.flickr.com/photos/k_girl883/sets/72157627664395597/
And I collect What I call Russian Nouvelles Images, here's are the one's I already have: http://www.flickr.com/photos/k_girl883/sets/72157628340238271/

If you don't have one of these I'd love animals (non-domestic), scenery, poppies, black and white photography, colourful and humourous cards, gnomes, hedgehogs, owls. Please don't send me free/advertising cards (unless they are hilarious). I prefer to NOT receive churches, monuments and multi view cards.
You can send anything unusual or wacky, I don't get offended.

I'm collecting stamps for a co-workers daughter, so if it's not too much to ask, put your postcard in an envelop and I'll cut the stamp part off for her. I collect stamps aswell, but only unused ones. If you have old stamps on envelops just sitting around your house I'd love those too. (Thank you to all the nice postcrossers for sending such great stamps. My co-workers daughter has a disability and getting these stamps just make her day... Her family and myself are very grateful)

Looking forward to getting a postcard from you.
Happy Postcrossing!

p.s. I love postcrossing so much I have several accounts, you can check them out; Karine, k_girl883 & gnipmac
