About Karin...

Hi,

I'm a dutch/french woman, married to Maarten-Jan and a mother of two great students. I work at our local swimming pool.

I love:
- Thomas Kinkade (I have Paris, St. Michel: Chicago, Emerald Valley, Winter at the Water Tower, Victorian Light and Winter Glen. I'd be very grateful if you send me another one)
- happy people
- funny animals
- Inkognito
- Two Bad Mice
- children's book illustrations
- Martine/Tiny
- Country Companions by Gordon Fraser
- wildlife, especially the babies
- big wild cats
- bunnies
- the moon
- waterfalls
- rough nature (love the nature in Ireland and Scotland, but also storms and lightning)
- fantasy (fairies, unicorns.....)
- unusual cards
- VW Busses and mini campers (I dream of owning one someday...)
- country maps (esp. US States, so far I have Alabama, California, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania)
- seasonal greetings and birthday cards are also very welcome

Washi tape, rubber stamps, stickers and creativity are appreciated.

Our daughter, Nouschka (12-08-1998) wants to save the world. She is a true scout and an artist. She studies art history and collects annunciation cards. She loves the Middle Ages.

Our son, Mark (17-04-2000) studied biologie and now wants to be a teacher. He also enjoys singing. Just look for Mark van der Meij on Youtube.

Furthermore I enjoy reading, crafts, photography, jigsaw puzzles, esp. by Jan van Haasteren and watching television. I also send cards to sick children. My favourite colours are purple, blue and pink. I collect feathers, so if you find one, please send it to me and if you know what bird it´s from please let me know.

We prefer single views. We do not appreciate touristic, old, religious or naughty cards. AND PLEASE DON'T SEND US ANYMORE CITYVIEWS. Otherwise we'll be happy with any card you send us.
We'll be extra happy if you put it in an envelope. We received some beautiful cards that were damaged in the mail :(. My husband will be happy then too as he collects the stamps. I tried to steam one off a card, but it doesn´t work. If you are feeling creative, a self-made envelope, made out of anything would be very much appreciated.☺

We're looking forward to your mail. Empty cards are really depressing though, so please tell us something about you or your day, what really makes you proud or how you met your love...

Thank you for reading all of this,

Happy postcrossing!

Karin
