About Anja...

Hello postcrossers,

it's a pleasure being a member of this great community!

Writing letters or postcards seems to be old-fashioned, but it makes so many people feeling closer. And sharing some good words is so important.

I'm born in Berlin and still living here. Maybe not really adventurous, but this city offers nearly everything.

I have been happily married for so many years, I am proud mum of four grown-up children and now so lucky to be grandmother the first time!

I really like my job at hospital in social work around pregnancy and giving birth. My voluntary activities at our Protestant church and at the German Red Cross are important to me too.

I like the nature - to calm down, especially forests - sometimes so mysteriously , the coast - expanding horizon, but also the quiet green places in the city like parks, gardens or traditional cemeteries. In the autumn I like watching migratory birds.

I love travelling, I think I am open minded, but who knows? Visiting other capitals is great too, 2017 I've been to Riga and Lisbon. 2018 I visited Toulouse and Helsinki. 2019 started with a trip to Brussels.
All are adorable!

For years I celebrate the world day of prayers at the first Friday of March with other women in church. I like getting well informed about the country and the life circumstances of the women. 2019 we celebrated and prayed for Slovenia. 2020 the women from Zimbabwe are writing the liturgy.

I love books and read a lot. I also love the atmosphere of libraries and book stores.
Cinema, theatre, museums are on my to do list, but also gardening behind the house or spending some hours on Berlins waterside with my husbands sailing boat.

Doing at lot of creative things with different materials, knitting, cross stich, sewing, patch work, crafting with paper or wood... much more...

I am happy with every postcard, you choose for me. I trust in you finding the right one for me.
I'm always thankful reading something about you.

Please notice, I really received my favorite postcards, it's not a wish.

Thanks for paying attention.

Happy postcrossing!
