About Jiri...

Hallo everyone,

My name is Jiri and I live with my wife in Brno, the second biggest city of my country, and the centre of region Moravia. But there are large forests really close to my home. I love to run across them. My hobbies are sports (I do orienteering since 1997), aviation and its military history (especially WWII - my avatar shows emblem of one of the Czechoslovak squadrons in RAF during WWII), stamp collecting with topic aviation (especially stamps used on cards), carnivorous plants (I grow more than 40 species), riding my mid-sized adventure motorbike and my work, which is physics.

I prefer postcards with aviation topic, but I know, that should be a problem to find them.

I will also be really happy with picture of local nature. Some local sightseeing (historical town centre, old castle or cathedral) is very good too. Simply try to send me picture of something interesting, that is around you and where you would invite me.

It will be amazing, if there are some nice stamps (best aviation themed) on the back side of your postcard. If you are not from some rare country and you want really make my day, you can look at my stamp wishlist at http://juraswishlist.czechian.net . It contains fourty countries from that I have received 10 or more official cards. Don' t worry about delays caused by buying interesting stamps, I will readily wait. But please try to not use USA round global forever stamps and Russian Kremlins issue if you are from these countries. I have plenty of them.

Please DON´T send me any free ad-cards (except aviation topic) or cards made by Touchnote or similar services. I think that Postcrossing is about making another people happy and I always try to do my best.

IMPORTANT (SWAPS): The rate of Czech Post starts to be unacceptable high from 1.2.2019. I was deciding between quit Postcrossing or sending cards via Austria. Finally I´ve decided to use Austrian post, but I´m very sad, that I cannot continue using pretty Czech stamps on my official cards (check my wall, stamps are also scanned). On the other hand I´m open for direct SWAPs of cards with Czech stamps (I can use nearly any of them), but I expect that you will be able to use some aviation themed stamps as postage, or at least some uncommon stamps that will be new for me. Please don´t hesitate to contact me, I´m looking forward to your SWAP requests.
