About Jānis...

Hello everyone! My name is Jānis. I am a 20-year-old coming from Ventspils, in Latvia, just by the Baltic Sea. After spending one year in Scotland, I am now a first year geography student at the University of Latvia, in Riga. I am a big fan of music, my absolute favourite band is The Beatles, but I listen to various music genres. And you will quickly become my friend if you take me to a blues concert! In terms of hobbies, I like to try a bit of everything - creating music by singing or playing some instrument, photography, Geocaching - it's all good!
But over it all is traveling. I have been to 29 countries already(I'm starting to lose count!), and I'm here in Postcrossing with a goal to receive cards from more countries!
I will be delighted about any postcard I get, but I would especially like to get postcards of:
- Olympics(especially cards with Olympic city and year in which Olympics took place on them)
- Formula 1
- The Beatles
- Vintage/retro
- Popart
- Airlines & airports
- Something unique about the region/city/country you live in
- Architecture & interiors
- Lighthouses
- Bridges
- Art(paintings, abstract, modern)
- Urban scenery, skylines
- Cars & automobiles
- Landscapes(especially mountains & beaches)
- Black & white
- Music bands
- Different sports & sports events
You can also check out my favourite cards for inspiration: http://www.postcrossing.com/user/Juonsi/gallery/favourites
But, if you want, surprise me with a card of your choice!

Postcrossing has really opened my eyes to so many fascinating things about our world, and hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Believe me, I really do!

P.S. Please, don't forget to write something on the postcard. I would be delighted to hear something special about your life or the place you live. But in general - feel free to write anything else you like!
And, if you are a left-hander, please write it on the postcard. I am too. We can make a virtual high-five then! :)
