About Jilaine...

Hello Postcrossers,

My name is Amanda. I love to travel and always pick up postcards when I do. I have visited all 50 of the 50 United States of America. I made it to the last state on my list (Oregon) in May 2018 with my mom! The image for my profile is a map of the area where I grew up in North Carolina.

I love to read and learn, and I am interested in many things. I work as a librarian. Yay, free books for everyone!

I am excited to connect with the world and you especially through postcrossing. Please tell me a little bit about yourself and where you live. I would love to catch a glimpse of the world through your eyes. I love and follow Jesus. Faith is a big part of my life and postcrossing to me is a fun way to love my neighbor. What is going on in your world today? Thanks for writing to me.

I warmly appreciate any card you may choose to send. However, if you are looking for inspiration, I would enjoy:

maps (I love maps!), landscapes, trees, rivers, clouds, the moon, *snow*, bridges

photos of people, royals, historical photographs, painted portraits

odd photos, aerial view photos, optical illusions

churches, monasteries, temples, religious festivals and themes

geology (volcanos, rocks and gems, rock formations, mountains, springs, lakes, coastlines, valleys, canyons, caves, mining, maps, drawings, etc.)

all kinds of animals (love black cats and cats in general, donkeys, birds of prey, land turtles) **If you happen to have some Pottering Cat cards from Japan, please send them!**

ballet, winter sports, sailing, boats, hot air balloons

cards local to your area, local foods, meal tables

famous art, art you enjoy, art you have made

anything movie related (for my husband)

Feel free to send something completely different as well, but please keep it family friendly. I'm amazed at the vast variety of postcards out there. And thanks for reading!

Happy Postcrossing!

P.S. If you sent me a postcard that has now expired, send me a note and I'll register the card.
