Hello, I'm Jess. I'm 42 years old and live in Kansas, USA with my two children.

I originally started Postcrossing to help teach my children about other parts of the world. We always look up the countries the cards come from and enjoy learning about different cultures and customs.

However, since the beginning, I have become sick. I'm in end-stage kidney failure and waiting for a kidney transplant. I'm pretty sick and the postcards that arrive in the mail brighten my day. I feel like an armchair traveler. I can't wait to get a new kidney so my children and I can travel once again! We miss the adventures.
