About Jana...

You would make my day with any postcards showing your country or city, any interesting or beautiful places, or a view of some famous local landmarks or sunrise/sunset/night views of your city.

Hi everybody, my name is Jana and I am an English teacher in the Czech Republic. I love my job and my students, it's an excellent opportunity to meet a lot of different people and I just love seeing their progress.

I live in Prague, the capital city, with my husband and our dog, a French bulldog called Denis. He's just adorable and we love him very much. He's also extremely spoilt (surprise, surprise).

I am an avid reader, I devour books by the dozen. I'm keen on fantasy and sci-fi, but I like some mainstream beletry from time to time, too, and I have read a lot of English and American classics during my studies. I read everything in English on my Kindle, it has saved so much space in our flat already :D

I really love playing board games, we have a ton of them at home from really simple party games to various quiz games and very complex strategic games. I go to a local festival of fantasy every year and basically spent the whole time playing new board games there :D

I'm also crazy about films and going to the cinema. Actually, we both are with my husband, and we go about 80 times a year (talk about an obsession, right :)). I really enjoy watching series, too, that's my way to relax in the evening after work.

I'm into baking and my biggest hobby is making cakes for my friends and family (http://www.craftsy.com/user/4787726) and baking muffins, cupcakes, bundt cakes, Christmas cookies etc.
I also love cooking, especially for the people I love. My biggest challenge so far has been a Christmas dinner for 10 people with two different kinds of starters, two different main courses and dessert (there was a ladies' menu and a gentlemen's menu).

I'm a foodie myself and can't resist sushi, I simply love it and consider it the best "invention" of all time :). I enjoy trying out new restaurants and different cuisines, but I love Italian, Asian and Mexican the best. The most delicious experience was visiting Gordon Ramsay's restaurant in London - I've never tasted anything like that.
