Hi postcrosser,

I read about postcrossing in a magazine and I could not wait to join. I love finding a letter or a card in my -real- mailbox. Someone quoted: "finding a postcard is like a little present." That is just the way I feel!
My name is Johanne and I grew up and living in the Netherlands. I studied at Maastricht University and recently I finished my PhD. But enough about work, this postcrossing-thing is just NOT about work...

In my spare time, I like to cook, bake (cupcakes, macarons, cakes, tarts), speedskate, ski, make photobooks, make postcards, to sew, make fun with my little daughter, go outside and enjoy the season. Unfortunately, my spare time is really sparse, so most of the time I am just working...nothing more, nothing less :-)

I like to receive postcards, that is the main thing. Which kind? I do not have special preferences, just a written postcard which is careful choosen. What I like about mail is that there is a little bit more on a postcard than just a name. I like the short messages, just a saying, a short story, anything that is on your mind..

Hopefully I will receive a couple!
