About Jeanette...

Hello everone!

I am Jeanette and I live in Leiden, a small city, near the sea and the dunes. Like in Amsterdam, there are canals here and a lot of historical buildings.
I enjoy walking and I'm fascinated by nature in all forms and shapes. From the rocks, trees, animals and the weeds in the sea to the tiny processes and huge forces in our universe.
I'm a philosophical, spiritual person and I like to travel and discover new places and people and broaden my horizons.
I love to read books and listen to music. Art and art history are also close to my heart. Geology. Stories in whatever the way they come. I like to do creative things, shopping and puzzling in every way. And I like to do absolutely nothing, just hang around and stare out the window.

I would love you to try and fill the card with words or something creative.
In case you lack inspiration: Do you have thoughts about the card you're going to send? What did you do today? What's on your mind? Did you do something different or new lately? Tell me about travelplans, the character of your pet, your dreams. Some philosophical eye openers? A song, a poem? Your passion. Books, music. What's in a treasure box? If you were an artist of all trades, what would you like to create or express? What do you talk about or do with friends and family? What do you like to shop for or not? What do the words below make you think about?

If you like some suggestions for a card:
- Lanterns, verandas, woodfires and guitars
- Mountains, rockformations, stones, shells, fossils, corals
- Big sailing ships and old maps, compasses
- Art and architecture from your country or what you like. Tell me about it.
- Book illustrations, libraries
- Nature. Flora and fauna of land, water and sky. Landscapes
- Skies, all weather conditions and the universe
- Gardens, flowers
- Creativity, imagination, trolls, gnomes, adventure
- Snoopy, Peter Rabbit, Inge Löök, Petterson and Findus, Lali, Where's Wally, Blue Cats etc.
- Unusual and funny cards, Inkognito. Homemade. Surprise me!

I sometimes get post with religion related messages, spreading the word. I think Postcrossing is not the right place for this. I'm curious about your personal experiences, though, and religion in a wider context is also very welcome (traditions, history, art, architecture, wise words, holiday/seasonal greetings).

I like to recognize the cards easily, so if you are using the app to upload a picture, could you try and make the card fill the entire space, sharp and right side up? Thanks!

Feel free to write in a language we have in common, other than english. Russian handwriting is no problem.

If you find a lot of the same stamps on the card I sent, that's because our postal service issues the extras only in really, really small amounts.

Looking forward to your card!
