I am Jeanette and I live in Leiden, a small city in the Netherlands. Like in Amsterdam, there are canals here and a lot of historical buildings. The city is near the sea and the dunes and I enjoy walking there. I also enjoy hiking throughout the country and abroad. I'm a spiritual person and I like to travel and discover new places and people and get a broader view of life. I'm fascinated by nature in all forms and shapes. From the plants, trees and animals to the tiny processes and huge forces. Reading books and listening to music are also close to my heart, as is art. Besides I like to do creative things, shopping and puzzling in every way. And I like to do absolutely nothing, just hang around a bit and stare out the window.
I love you to tell me a little story on your card. What did you do today, what's on your mind, do you have dreams? What is your favourite book, music, film, travel destination, food? And why? Do you have thoughts about the card you're going to send? Naughty pets or kids? Some lyrics you like from a song or a philosophical thought perhaps? New hobby I should take on?
If you like any suggestions for a card:
- Nature. Flora and fauna, marine, skies, landscapes
- Art. What do you like or makes you think?
- Lanterns, suitcases, music
- Gnomes, trolls
- Books, libraries, illustrations
- Snow, shells and rockformations
- Moon, stars, aurora
- All kinds of weather
- Big sailing ships and old maps
- Creativity and fantasy
- Snoopy, Peter Rabbit, Inge Löök, Lali, Where's Wally?, Heula, Blue Cats, Dubanci etc.
- Unusual and funny cards
Although I don't like do's and don'ts in my profile, there's one thing. I sometimes get post with church community related stuff, mission or just spreading the word. I think Postcrossing is not the right place for this kind of mail.
No problem if you like to tell about your personal experiences, though! Religion in a wider context is also very welcome (traditions, history, art, architecture, wise words, holiday/seasonal greetings).
I like the cards on my wall to look their best. If you are using the app, could you please make the card fill the entire space, sharp and right side up?
I like to keep up with the languages I speak, so feel free to write in a language we have in common. Even if you're not a native. I'm stumbling my way through some of the languages myself. Russian handwriting is no problem.
Thank you for sharing!
