About Chit...

Hey stranger, I hope you're having a great day and staying well during these interesting times. You're reading the second coolest profile on Postcrossing - My profile comes in a close second because yours is just unbeatable!

My name is Chit (in Chinese it means sagacious). A year and a half ago I was still a university student and I am now stuck at my 9 to 5 job! Due to Covid I have been working from home for most of the time since February 2020. My dog Bo couldn't be happier.

Growing up I was fortunate to have had the opportunities to visit some neighbouring Asian countries with my parents, which has then led to my great passion for travelling. A few years back I took a gap year and started taking solo backpacking trips from time to time. In 2018, I went on backpacking adventures in the Balkans (my first time in Europe) and India. I also did my internship in Singapore for a few months. It was an epic summer!

Besides traveling, I also love outdoor activities, especially hiking. I love how a metropolis like Hong Kong coexists with nature. One thing people don't know about us is that we have many beautiful mountains and beaches here! It's a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Other things that I like: Photography (Check out my instagram!)/ Movies/ Languages (I'm learning German and currently at A2. Let's just say... German isn't the easiest language to learn so I could really use some help. Wenn Sie Deutsch sprechen, können Sie bitte auf Deutsch schreiben? Vielen Dank! Ich kann einfache Sätze lesen und ein bisschen schreiben!)

Things that I hate: ALL kinds of insects/ Minions (What's so great about these tiny little yellow things?)/ MATHS (Just because I'm Asian doesn't mean I'm good at it - I barely passed Maths in school lol!)

- What to write?
I love fully written postcards. You can write about your day and what you do, or you can tell me a false stereotype that people often get for your country/city. I genuinely enjoy reading what you have to share with me, and I value what is written more than the postcard itself!

- What to send?
Keep in mind that I love and treasure every card I receive. It's always the thought that counts! I'm not a picky guy so I will be happy with whatever you choose for me. I can't stress this enough but please don't feel obligated to send me a postcard from my list. They are just ideas so no pressure.

- Maximum Cards
- National Parks
- Domestic beers/alcohols
- Map Cards of your state/country
- Landscapes/ Cityscapes (Images that represent where you live)
- People
- "Everyday" scenes
- US Travel Posters
* I'll have to admit that I'm not a fan of advertising or "cute" postcards...

- A little request:
Please DO NOT put the postcard in an envelope. If you can use some beautiful stamps, it will make my day!

Finally, thanks for reading. I look forward to your cards!
