About Janine...

I am a retired English and Biology teacher raising a granddaughter. I love my cat, reading, and needlework. On one side of my home are the tall grasses and flat horizons of the beginning of western prairies. On the other are the sky scrapers of a big city with one of the largest universities in the world. Although I've travelled to other places and loved them, I live exactly where I want to live. I have written three e-books, murder mysteries that take place in Columbus Ohio in the early 1900's. The first is Murder in the Back Garden.
I'd love to hear true ghost stories, your favorite quote, or why you sent that particular card. Recommend your favorite book, or a good food from your country. What is beautiful about your home city? Is there a good novel that takes place near where you live- that’s a question I’d particularly like you to answer...
I'll be happy with whatever card you send as long as you write a message on it. If you're trying to choose just for me, I like recipes from your area, botanical charts, stone circles, dragons, people with lanterns, hot springs, mazes and labyrinths, mythological cards, the Great War(WW1) polar exploration, and spiders. Although I usually dislike things that are too cute, I have an absurd affection for dressed-up mice. Cartoon cats can be darling too. I sent a card to a woman who likes cut out pieces from food packaging. I think that’s a cool idea.
Postcards printed in basic Spanish or French are very welcome, no cursive please!. I'd be happy to have a penpal from Scotland.
Thanks, Janine
