###First an important message: Postcards sent from the USA are often damaged by the US POST, and now AustraliaPost, SOMETIMES ON BOTH SIDES. An envelope would be appreciated 😊.###
Greetings from beautiful Albany on the south coast of Western Australia where I live with my cat Bodhi and enjoy friends, family, reading, walking, films, gardening and volunteering.
Here we have pristine beaches, clean air, and an interesting history. Indigenous Aborigines - the Menang Noongar people - have lived here for over 40,000 years. The indigenous name for the area is Kinjarling, meaning 'place of rain'.
Humpback and Southern Right whales can be seen on their journeys between the Antarctic and warm northern breeding waters.
My ancestors are from Ireland, Scotland, Denmark and England. So far I have only visited Ireland 🇮🇪, a place I love. Other special places are the colourful outback of Central Australia, very different from the coastal cities, and Tasmania when I lived in South Hobart.
I am happy with any card you choose for me especially if it has a lot of text and beautiful stamps. ❤️ (Please no Christmas cards).
Suggestion: write something about yourself, your country, the place you live, a story, a poem, a prayer, a quote, a dream. This will make your card special to me. ❤️
I particularly like:
Landscapes, art and people of your country, indigenous people.
Hundertwasser, Klimt, Moomins and Puffins.
Tibet - the Dalai Lama, landscapes buildings people of Tibet.
Baha'i Houses of Worship (temples) around the world.
Stamps commemorating the 200th Anniversary of the Birth of Baha'u'llah
would be marvellous.
Happy Postcrossing, have fun!
(NB: postcards coming from USA are often damaged by postmarks, sometimes on both sides - an envelope would be appreciated)
