Hello there.....

I am joining this group because I love paper mail. Here in the U.S. the written word is fading away and it is rare for people to exchange mail. I enjoy sending and receiving cards and letters and sharing some thoughtful musings with my friends and family.

I'm retired from working in the medical/scientific field. I have been studying some new subjects in recent years, first computer science and lately art. I am an oil painter and printmaker.

What kind of cards would I like---? Well.....
--art cards
--nature cards: forest, lake, volcano, wildlife
--weather: snow, rain, fog, wind, hurricane
--folklore, mythology, or religion cards
--anything from: physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology, literature, poetry, psychology, philosophy
--cards of your city or country
--cards you made
--cards with your photo or one of family, friends, or pets

Something colorful, something wild and wonderful, something unique. Humorous is also another great choice. Your own creations are happily accepted. No free ad cards, though.

Are you celebrating a national holiday or a religious one? Send me a card about the holiday.

I enjoy artwork that breaks boundaries and is not necessarily realistic. I try to stretch myself in life to dream about what the world will be like 100 years from now, where will those new ideas come from and how will they begin?

If you send a card in July write "Happy Birthday" in your own country's language. I will really enjoy those greetings, so few people send paper cards for my birthday these days.
