I live in beautiful San Francisco, about a mile (1.6 km) from the Pacific Ocean. I don't get out much due to health problems, so I need a new hobby. I have degrees in biology and library science. I used to sew, but now I knit or crochet because I can do those things in a chair in my living room.

Because some of these cards go back to the 1970s, they are not always in pristine condition. I've been adding condition notes but unless there is something majorly wrong I'm going to stop being such a perfectionist. Unless I get a postcard brand new I note the publication date--I get most of them boxed or in book form, so I have that information--and you can expect that any postcard over 20 years old is going to have some yellowing.

Also, because my health is bad, I may not respond to you in a timely manner, and then I start losing track of things. Please do both of us a favor and send me a second e-mail if I don't respond.

I've got hundreds of cards, so it will take me a while to get them scanned. I've got lots more cats, San Francisco and some of the surrounding area, teddy bears (too cute), shoes, children's book illustrations (Rackham, Goble, Wyeth, Dulac), fine art, the sun, NASA, Kliban's cats, Marilyn Monroe, Escher, and more. I will be getting some more Victorian kittens soon.
