About Inna...

TRUST ME, I`M A POSTCROSSER!
The situation between Ukraine and Russia is very painful to me, as I love both. My life is devided into two parts – before Feb 24 and after it. So what you`ll read below – was written “before”. I wanted to say so much to everybody – there wasn`t enough place on the page. Now I only feel sad and down. "But I`ll do appreciate your being around"...

FOR VERY BUSY PEOPLE:
I`m a 50+ years old woman, with many nephews and nieces.
I`d be glad to get cards with something special about your place, - like a traditional country house, a national handicraft. Postcrossing is kind of travelling and learning about national cultures for me. I read all the profiles when I receive cards, and then google the places, and learn a lot - thank you!

FOR PEOPLE WHO WOULD LIKE TO READ ABOUT ME:
I wear glasses, love live jazz, classical and britpop music in green theatres. I had a grey half-Siberian cat, my faithful companion, but at the age of 19 he died, in 2021. (So,please, no cat-cards for me).
I also have wonderful relatives and a lot of close friends. I work with children in a secondary and a Sunday school.
I enjoy reading biographical books and watching films with an IDEA. (Collateral Beauty, Gravity, Joyeux Noёl, The Shack, Solaris). To relax - a detective story (especially Columbo!), and Doctor Who. When a student, I listened to The Beatles so often that I still recognise their melodies immediately. Oh, and I really love Narnia.
I love nature - who doesn`t!
I`m fond of walking trips in in Moscow or other old cities and towns. I explore the history of a place, decide on a route and invite somebody.
I am interested in different languages and national traditions. These things always drag the foreign culture inside your very heart and make you feel it and love it.
And the process of SENDING a card is ....magic! How come I can find words and pictures for a stranger... It`s quite a job sometimes to find THE card... I`m sure, The MENTALIST should be a series about postcrossing, not about detective stories! But it`s also a joy.

As for me, I`m very happy if I get something typical or characteristic of your country :
- an ornament,
- an iconic map, with little pictures (they are amazing), or just maps,
- a work of a traditional craft,
- a national costume or a country house,
- coats-of-arms
- a landscape near your place, a view of the town / city / village
- a glimpse of the life nearby or in your country.
I don`t mind a hand-made card - if you enjoy it.
But religious places of the cults that I don`t practice don`t make me happy, sorry. Unless they`re personally connected with your life.

Дорогие москвичи, не сочтите за нахальство, но у меня много видов Москвы, и живу неподалеку. Пожалуйста, что-то другое - природа, репродукции. Old maps!
And I`ll be grateful for a few personal words about you or your place.
Could you please write your name carefully, - it`s really hard to decypher sometimes.
Thank you!
