About Kim...

Hello every1,

I was introduced to the postcrossing concept by an acquaintance, who did this for quite some time already. It seemed like a fun thing to do to me, and this is why I ended up registering myself here too. I've been inactive for a while but picking up now again.

My girlfriend, who is from Iran, and I live in Sint-Niklaas, which is a beautiful city in Belgium, it has the largest marketplace in Belgium where a hot air balloon fest is held every year. I'm a software consultant and i would like to make my girlfriend enthusiastic for the post crossing concept!

I love travelling and discovering new locations, but I despise the typical tourist areas or attractions and everything around them. I have a very broad interest in music and can listen to anything, except for jump or hardcore. I play a little of (electrical) guitar myself, but am still in the debuting phase. Lack of time is mostly the holdback. I love playing boardgames and so if you have any suggestions or recommendations, please feel free to share them with me! Cosy cuddling with my girlfriend in the couch by candlelight, a cheerful meetup with friends, a fine meal in a scenic restaurant or a videogame night are all activities that can carry my interest away. Postapocalyptic video games genre Fallout or Horizon Zero Dawn are amongst my favourites. I like to read a good book, but again, time's the difficult factor here. My last read book was "Camping Oosthoek" by Nathalie Pagie.

I have no real preferences in what kind of postcard you send me, as long as you tell me a little about why you chose the card you sent me. I do like anything related to fantasy themes though. Fairies, elves, dragons, mystical landscapes can be beautiful, especially with purple colours in them. I also would love to hear a little about your life, your dreams, your interests, what music do you listen too, what your profession is,... Do you like your job and why (or not), are you planning to change? Your short or long term life plans, your family, your pet peeves, your little sadnesses, your successes, what makes you happy and so on! Tell me something about YOU and YOUR life!
Here in Belgium it's depressingly grey almost every day as we are in winter. Cold winds and miserable rains make the sad picture complete, so some cheerful words are welcome!
You can write to me in Dutch, English, French or Spanish. If you can include a little text or message in your native language, that'd be great too!

Oh, and please, use some beautiful stamps and 1 request I do want to make is: tell me (one of) your favourite song(s), preferably of a less known artist. I love discovering new music!

Thanks a lot and love to hear from you!
