About Hurrem...

Hello! I'm Hurrem from Sydney, Australia, but please call me Hu =)

I LOVE snailmail and making my own envelopes or greeting cards. I work in the dental industry, which I've been doing for the past 14 years.

I'm a huge animal lover and i have pet dog Tiger who is now 13yrs old.

My hobbies include reading fiction, (especially psychological thrillers and crime/detective thrillers), going to cinema and PC gaming. I also enjoy working on jigsaw puzzles, cross-stitch, social drinks with friends, trivia, board games, photography, origami, cooking and walking among nature....usually with my camera handy =) During the pandemic lockdown i took my photography a bit more seriously and now i have 2 zoo memberships to practice my wildlife photography. You can see some of my wildlife photography on my IG account (@Pre10da)

I will love and appreciate any postcard that you wish to share with me, but please make sure it is a postcard NOT a greeting card that folds in half. I'd appreciate too if the postcard is postmarked and written on rather than sent via an envelope. If you are struggling on what kind of postcard to send me then one suggestion would be to show me something that is unique to the country you are from, or a country you visited, that would be amazing! I also don't mind illustration postcards. If you are struggling on what to write about you can tell me why you chose that card for me, or why that card is special to you. Also if the factual information on the back of the postcard is printed in your native tongue, pls provide an English translation. Pls also upload a photo of the card to this site, otherwise i cannot favourite it.

I prefer coffee over tea, physical books over e-readers and fantasy/sci fi movies over most other genres.

See you in the letter box!

FOR DIRECT SWAPS:
if you wanted to direct swap with me: 1/ you can send me a stamped and written postcard of your choosing (no ad cards, free cards, self made card or greeting cards. 2/ when your card reaches me I will message you on here to say i got it then ask for your postal address to send you a card back of my choice. 3/ there will be no re-attempts for lost or undelivered postcards. That get's too expensive. 4/ No postcards in envelopes. Lets keep it traditional. 5/ Have photo evidence of the postcard (front & back) 6/ I will only send you the first postcard for a direct swap if I requested to initiate a direct swap with you. If you initiate with me, you send the first card. 7/ always write your postcrosser username on the card. 8/ if you are happy with that arrangement then see you in the letter box! :)

Best Wishes,
Hurrem Aktas aka Huzleberry
