About herbstzeitlose...

I'm not really a postcard collector though I still have all the postcards I've got since teenage times (several decades). I just love to receive and send snail mail. And I love colourful, imaginative cards with unusual, unexpected perspectives, details, views, just good photography, drawings, paintings.

I love to hear about everyday life in other parts of the world. I love reading, I love strolling through bookshops and old cemeteries. I practise yoga, I like all kinds of crafts. I'm fascinated by patchwork and mosaics, all the tiny bits that make up awe-inspiring works of art. I love calligraphy. My dream, but really just a dream: being able to play (not to learn to play) the cello.

As to cards I like (drawings, paintings, photos):
– letters, alphabets, calligraphy, pens
– books, book covers, libraries, authors
– people praying, reading, writing, playing an instrument, doing crafts
– patchwork patterns, buttons, all kinds of crafts, mosaics
– graveyards, crosses and headstones
– religious paraphernalia, prayer beads
– hands
– rainbows, wild weather, fog, barren landscape
– traditional costumes
– domestic scenes

I'm not so much interested in animals. If you choose a viewcard, I'd prefer single views from your own country.
My favourites' wall has cards I don't have.

I appreciate the lines you write just as much as the card you choose. I'm not so happy about cards with just an address label glued onto it.

If you don't know what to write: What are you reading at present? If there is a book you've read several times: What book is it and what do you like about it?

I'm very much looking forward to learning something about you. It would be nice if you wrote your postcrossing username on the postcard so that I could read your profile before thanking you.

If you want your postcard to appear on my wall, please upload it yourself. Up to now I've uploaded most ot the cards I got, but lately there have been far too many. I can't keep up any longer.
