I am from Murmansk, Russia. It is the very North of Russia, the south coast of Barents Sea. Sometimes we have no summer at all. It is a severe place to live but I like ♥ it a lot. 29 years ago I came here for the first time and decided to stay. But Russia is very large- we have different climates in different parts of my country. Before we lived in the South near the warm Caspian Sea - no winters,very hot summers. I am the "girl from the South", but I live in the North. I never regret that I have moved so far (4 thousand kilometres from my place of birth). Now Murmansk is my home.

I have been working as a schoolteacher for 29 years and I adore my job.My son is 22 years old and he is more my friend than my son. He works as a barmen in one of the restaurants in Murmansk. We have got 2 cats -Leksik and Iriska (it is Russian for "Toffee").

I suppose postcrossing is not about collecting postcards or stamps. Everything is more deeper here, espesially for the adults. It seems to me we are here to get emotions, to become the part of somebody's life for a very short period of time. We share something more important than just a postcard.We are here to give the warmth of our hearts to people we don't know.And the universe is becoming a little bit better just now because the parts of people's hearts and souls are travelling all over the world on the small pieces of paper.

So, no matter what postcards you are going to send me- I will love them all :)
