I'm an ardent reader, love gardening, writing poetry and stories.
I enjoy meeting new people, though mostly love spending time with my daughter.
Enjoy action movies at the cinema but watch drama's etc at home.
I organise our Village Library as I'm passionate about books. I've also got two Book Clubs that are very popular and they've been going now for a few years and it's always interesting to find new authors or books that people enjoy.
I'm very lucky to have people donate wool to me so I can knit every night while I watch movies and TV series, then I get to take large bags of knitted jackets, beanies and rugs to different charities.
I'm a member of a Red Hat group and enjoy meeting up with all of my Sisters.
Now that Covid has faded into the background, I'd like to attend more SteamPunk events so I'd better make myself a new costume so I can get to more outings.
We are very fortunate here in NZ as our Post Office allows us to personalise our own stamps and I've done quite a few now - some even have 'me' on them and people get quite astonished when they receive a postcard from me with me on the stamp!!!!
My daughter designed some postcards using photo's from my Facebook page and gave them to me as a Christmas present so I've been able to send those out and I'm getting a great response from the people receiving them.
I love Postcrossing and I've just hit the 800 mark which is still not many compared to some members though I'm hoping to send and receive many many more over the years. I love thinking about what to write in such a little space and deciding which card/stamps to send people, hoping they'll enjoy them as much as I enjoy receiving them from around the World. I get very disappointed when there's no cards in my letterbox. :) especially as my numbers are going up!!!!
