Hi ....

my name is Mandy and I live in a small village called Evessen which lies in the northern part of Germany and which is best known for an ancient tumulus and on its top a very large lime tree which is several hundred years old. During the summer I love spending time in Iceland, discovering its unique scenery and in many places still unspoiled nature. I also very much enjoy dancing, photography, reading, watching good movies and learning to speak Icelandic.

I started collecting postcards many years ago and I am so very grateful to all the people who have been sending me postcards over the past years and in this way helped me to learn about their lives and the many different places in the world.

And as there are so many countries and places that I may never be able to visit, I best enjoy tourist postcards that show typical sights, scenery and places of historicsl interest. Generally I prefer single view postcards, but of course nice multi-view postcards are also welcome.

My favourite motives are
=> scenic views / National Parks / deserts
=> map postcards
=> volcanoes
=> 3D postcards
=> historic streets / houses
=> lakes, mountains, canyons
=> UNESCO
=> stone circles, ancient burial places
=> famous bridges
=> wildlife (esp. polar bears, penguins, animals living in the snow)
=> castles or cathedrals (please no small local churches)
=> from Japan: Cherry Blossoms, Shinto Shrine, Kyoto, Ogasawara
=> from Australia: Koala's / Ayers Rock

If you have travelled somewhere recently, I will also be happy to receive a postcard from your holiday, which can be from any country, and maybe you can tell me a little about the places you have visited.

And I am interested in the person who sends me the postcard. It makes a postcard much more personal if you write a little of the things you enjoy, maybe what is your favourite food, what do you like about your town, your favourite quote or what makes your day perfect?
