About GuyT...

BONJOUR ! HELLO ! ПРИВЕТ ! from a French-speaking Canadian.
You can write in French, English or Russian (я читаю почерк).

I am Guy (Ги), a retired biologist happily married to an agronomist for close to 34 years now, and father of two fantastic grown-up sons. I am crazy about classical music and opera. I love to travel and learn from different cultures.

To me, Postcrossing is about communicating to the world and being part of humanity. I always take the time to handwrite something either serious or funny, happy or sad, important or trivial, since both sides of the postcard are important to me. Not surprisingly, I carefully read the profile of the person to whom I mail a postcard. Whenever it is possible, I try to send the best postcard fitting his/her profile. Thanks in advance to do the same and respect a few things that are really important to me :

-No envelope
-Write by hand your message, the date and my address directly on the postcard (no printed label with text or my address scotch taped or glued to the postcard)
-No puffy/embossed decorative stickers that get stuck in postal sorting machines
-Mail your postcard from the country of origin (for instance, don’t mail from China a postcard showing the Eiffel Tower)
-Real postcards only (sorry, but a piece of thin cardboard glued to a sheet of paper is not a postcard)

I recently started collecting cards showing airlines, airplanes and airports. Don't worry, other postcards make me also happy : single or multi-view postcards showing landscape, people, fauna, flora, culture, architecture, train, map, flag, stamps, sights or city views. If you don't know what to send, have a look at my favorites that show postcards I don't have. Maybe you have something similar? Of course, the final choice is yours, but, please, keep for others 'generic' postcards (cute dog or cat), which could have been mailed from anywhere.

Only if possible... Nice stamps are the icing on the cake !!!

Most importantly, have fun !

MY RECENTLY STARTED COLLECTION OF AVIATION POSTCARDS (not up to date, I am the king of procrastination!):
