After serving 30 plus years in the Australian Army I took early retirement and now live in the northern suburbs of Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, Australia.

My hobbies include: photography (Fujifilm X Series cameras), computing (Apple), reading (mainly military history), and researching my family history, including genetics. I also collect owls in the form of photographs, postcards and owl objects.

I listen to music, preferring classics and jazz. My collection includes CDs and vinyl records. I enjoy going to the cinema, but am not a fan of sci-fi, fantasy or horror movies.

I am happy to receive most postcards, but would prefer cards featuring:
owls, dogs,
landscapes, historical subjects from your country,
maps, flags from your country,
trains, cars, aircraft, bicycles,
books, books shops, libraries,
paintings, art galleries
