Hello!

My Name is Gretel. I live in Georgetown, Guyana.

Guyana is a tropical country situated on the northern coast of South America. It is the only country in South America where English is the official language. It is bordered by Venezuela on the west, Suriname on the east, Brazil on the south and the Atlantic Ocean on the north.
Guyana was originally a British colony, but became independent of the United Kingdom on 26th of May, 1966.
Guyanese culture reflects the influence of African and Indian cultures. It's culturally connected to the Caribbean region. Guyana is one of a few mainland territories of South America that is considered to be a part of the Caribbean region.
Guyana is known for the world's largest single drop waterfall, Kaieteur Falls. The country is also known for bauxite and gold reserves, rice fields, sugarcane plantations and well-preserved, dense rainforests.
Cricket is the national sport. ;p

I have not done postcrossing for several years, but recently started again. :) Here are some post card ideas that I would love for you to send me:
