About Gwen...

Hi Postcrossing partner!
My name is Gwen and I live in France near Paris.
I am very interested in other cultures and histories. Please tell me about yours!
I am a fan of nature. I love walking in the forest and along the beach.
I also like cooking soups, baking cakes and discovering new teas with fruit or plant flavours.
I love literature and books.
Your postcard will be a treasure that I will keep carefully and even post on my wall at home!
The picture of a postcard is its body. Please give it a soul by writing a text. I'm curious about you. Tell me as many things as you like about you, your culture, your way of life, your language and alphabet, etc. I'm particularly curious about
- explanation on proverbs and phrases in your language
- your meals and drinks: tell me how many meals you take per day, what you usually eat, at what time, what kind of beverage you drink in the day, etc.
- traditional games and boardgames in your country
- traditional legends in your country and their characters
- a TV program that would be particular to your country

I like the postcards showing
- drawings / illustrations
- folklore
- typical houses
- pictures from old days
- traditional legends and tales from your country
- botanical drawings
- animals that we don't have the opportunity to see in France: racoons, mooses, reindeer, opposums, quokkas, wombats, duck-billed platypuses, whales, etc
- beautiful cats
- gastronomy / cuisine / recipes
- authors, libraries and books
- quotes and phrases
- vintage educational charts or maps
- matrioshka dolls
- guinea pigs
- Where is Wally / Waldo / Charlie cards or Lali cards, or any card with something to find in a picture with many details.
- From Finland: Inge Löök's old ladies, Moomins. I love them but who are they exactly? Please explain :-) Illustrations by Minna Immonen.
- From Russia: the polar bear by Irina Smirnova.
- From Korea: illustrations by Bentoy
- From UK: Paddington bear
- From France: illustrations by Marie Cardouat and by Izou. From Alsace: illustrations by Hansi.
But I'm sure that you have much more imagination than me and that you will find a great postcard that I would have never thought of and that I will love :-)
I wish I was talented for handicraft, drawing, and painting but I'm not. Handmade cards are welcome, so that I can admire YOUR talent.
I don't mind folded cards and envelopes at all.
If you would like to add a little something in the envelope, please feel free to do so (tea bag, bookmark, recipe, cinema or bus ticket, etc). Thank you very much!
I'm not a great fan of manga / anime cartoons nore multiple-view cards.

Nice stamps are welcome!
Looking forward to reading you
