About Gabriela...

Hi! I'm Gabi. My hobbies are riding a bike, running, hiking, reading fantasy books, and learning languages. I dream of travelling around Europe with my backpack and meeting many interesting people. In 2023, I finished Cesta SNP - the longest hiking trail in Slovakia (770 km) and it was amazing!

I studied linguistics in Hamburg, Germany for 2 years. Currently, I'm intensively learning Slovak and studying Maths and Chemistry because I want to attend university in Slovakia and to become a teacher.
I visit Polish and Slovak mountains almost every weekend because it gives me power to study and work.

You can send me every postcard you like (maybe except ads and religious ones) but if you need a little bit of inspiration, you can check this list:
- fantastic and mythical creatures (elves, fairies, trolls, sirens, dragons, unicorns...)
- flowers
- landscapes (especially mountains, forests, and starry nights)
- cats
- maps
- LGBTQ+
- folklore.

Please, tell me something about you, some exciting customs in your country/region, your dreams, your plan for the nearest (or distinct) future, what you like to do, what fantasy books from your country you like, and maybe a hiking trail you can recommend. ;)

If you speak German, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Slovak, Finnish, Hungarian, Czech, or Belarusian as your mother tongue (or you speak them better than English) feel free to write in these languages. (I don't speak Czech, or Belarusian, but I understand them pretty well, especially written).

I'm also coming back to learning Japanese, but unfortunately I'm not advanced enough yet to read it. If you can, please write a short phrase in Japanese with a Rōmaji / Hiragana transcription, it'd be really helpful!

If you speak any other languages, you can write a word or a phrase in them (with translation, of course).

My favourites are both cards that I received and those I found on Postcrossing and thought that they were nice.

I'm waiting for your postcard!
