Hello fellow Postcrossers!
My name is Annemarie, I live with my husband in Ede, a town near Arnhem. Both our daughters moved out, living on their own, finding their own way in life. Fortunately for us they return home regularly, so I can be a mother-hen to my heart's content.
I'm a parttime primary school teacher, teaching crafts like knitting, weaving, crochet and embroidery (among others) to both boys and girls in the ages between 6 - 10 years old. My husband is a computerprogrammer and a devout geocacher. We share our home with our cat Maura, a very black cat with piercing green eyes and an ego the size of the moon. We love her anyway. In October 2015 we got Osiris, a tabby orange tomcat, endearingly naughty and quite a rascal. We love him too.
Almost all of us are on Postcrossing with our own profile (check out: Waterman60 & AuroraDreycon).
Every postcard is welcome! But you will make me very happy with:
-folklore: costumes, art, crafts, knitting, embroidery, etc.
-famous artists, painters etc. from your country
-pictures from 'Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit' (maxi cards, if possible)
-mythical creatures like unicorns, dragons, phoenix, etc.
-fairytale landscapes/creatures like (flower)fairies, elves, dwarves, giants, etc.
-Sussi Anna Aaberg
-Rolf Lidberg Trolls
-Séverine Cuénod (painter)
-pictures of (some of) my favourite television characters: Anthony DiNozzo, NCIS (played by Michael Weatherly) and John Sheppard, Stargate Atlantis (played by Joe Flanigan). Also pictures of these shows would be great!
*See my list of favourites: those are the cards I do not have, but really would like to receive!
*Envelopes are okay (you can make those yourself from old magazines, discarded A4 paper, used (but clean) paper bags ...).
*I scan all my received cards (though it may take a while).
Please, tell me a little about yourself, and please date your postcard. (AND DON'T FORGET TO WRITE YOUR NAME!).
PLEASE, WRITE THE ID-NUMBER ON THE LEFTHANDSIDE OF THE CARD!!!!
The Dutch Postal Service uses a sorting machine that sticks very sticky stickers always on top of the address! Many is the time I had to peal back those infernal stickers ve-ry slowly and still wasn't able to prevent damage to the address or ID-number underneath!
***Please send a card to those children!***
When you are going to send a card to me, take a look at this site: www.sendkidstheworld.com
and send a card to one of the sick children too! It will brighten their day.
I found this idea on the page of a postcrossing member, and I really like it.
Feel free to share this idea with your family and friends!
