About Laurel...

Hello!

My name is Laurel, and I live in near the city of Charlotte, North Carolina. I dream of traveling the world one day, but for now Postcrossing is my way to travel, and I am loving it! I'm a big geeky/nerdy/dorky fangirl. I'm really into Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Lost, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (or anything Joss related). I have many interests. I'm very interested in space, theoretical physics, psychology, art, history, travel, architecture, music, photography, film, philosophy, fashion, yoga, fitness/health, & more!

I will love and appreciate any card you want to send to me (I love variety!), but if you'd like some guidance, here are some of my interests/likes:

-Scenes from your country/state...landscapes, cities, daily life, people, objects, significant places & landmarks.

-Beautiful / interesting / unusual architecture.

-Churches / Cathedrals / Synagogues / Mosques / Temples / Religious buildings or gathering places.

-Children or adults in any sort of traditional dress or costumes, and/or participating in holidays / festivals.

-Mailboxes / Lighthouses / Castles / Map cards

-Cards related to space (or space programs in your country/region)!

-Cards featuring libraries, parks, amusement parks (I love roller coasters!), museums, art galleries, aquariums, or zoos.

-Royal families / Royals

-Vintage cards from your country/region (whether actual or reprints) are always very interesting!

-I also like art cards, especially if the art work on the card comes from an artist in your country or region, or holds a special significance to you.

-A card related to any of the interests I listed above is always welcome too. For example, a Harry Potter related card. I also like quirky, fun cards!

-Cards related to any of the arts (dance, music, literature, film, theater, etc.)

-"Geeky" cards

-Anything unusual is always exciting to receive too...unusual shapes of cards, or 3D, optical illusions, or anything else odd is a lot of fun.

-Anything special to you!

If possible, I prefer postcards stamped and written on as much as possible, instead of blank or in an envelope. I love to see samples of your beautiful handwriting! :) Also, if you can, jot the date somewhere on the card.

Just as important as the front of your card (perhaps more important!) is the back. Please write something...anything there. Anything you'd like to share or feel like telling me. I'd love the chance to know a little bit about you!

Best wishes!
