About Gisele...

Hello everyone!
Hi, I'm Giselle.
I LOVE getting postal mail that's not junk mail; writing letters and postcards is such a lost art and a rarity in this digital era, and I think it is fantastic that Postcrossing exists. I have been collecting postcards for years and have many stamps and postcards just waiting to be put to good use.
I work in a busy corporate setting, so postcrossing is a wonderful way to unwind my mind and escape in my downtime. :-)

About me:

I'm originally from Texas, but now live in central Connecticut, in New England, USA.
I'm married to a great guy, Young, who's also on Postcrossing. We don't have any kids as of yet, but we have two sweet boy cats, Atlas and McKellen.

If you're on Instagram, my IG username is Kitkatsunday87.
It's set to "private" but I do accept most requests as long as you're not a spambot and/or are not trying to sell me anything.
*Please* send me an Instagram message first if you're wanting me to add you so I can identify you as a postcrossing connection!

My hobbies are: listening to music and going to concerts- my favorites are Morrissey/The Smiths; Rufus Wainwright; Kristeen Young; Perfume Genius; Bruce Springsteen; Sonic Youth; R.E.M.; Throwing Muses; many others.
Films: Especially documentaries and foreign films and old Hollywood films from the 1930s-1960s.
Reading: I love to read. Everything from cookbooks to biographies and autobiographies to great works of literature to articles from the New York Times and Atlantic Monthly.

I love Hungarian culture and language. My father immigrated to the USA from Hungary and I have many relatives still living there. I'm not completely fluent in the language, but I'm always trying to improve my skills by reading and speaking with family members!

Some of my favorite postcard themes are:
-art, modern or classical.🎨 Handmade cards are welcome too!
-VW cars
-street art
-b/w portraits
-retro kitsch
-historical cards
-Flowers/animals from your region or country.
-landmarks, famous buildings, and landscapes of your city or country. I love multiview and single views equally!

I don't like Disney, religious, holiday-themed or birthday postcards.

I love colorful and interesting stamps on the postcard if at all possible.

-Please don't send the postcard in an envelope.-

And please, if at all possible, don’t send a blank card! Even a smiley face or drawing is better than an empty card!

Above all, I'd enjoy hearing about who YOU are, your interests, or just how your day is going.
