Hi everyone 🍀

My name is Marta. I'm originally from Bydgoszcz, Poland. I've just graduated from university and got BA in Applied Linguistics (English & Russian). Currently I'm living in London, UK and doing one year voluntary service here.
As you can see thanks to my username I love cats but other animals are great too! I love criminal and horror books, especially by Stephen King. I'm keen on Assassin's Creed and Star Wars. I still love Disney movies - one of my favourite is The Lion King. I'm a little bit interested in history (more specifically World War II). I like swimming and hiking in the mountains. I also love listening to music. My fav band is Coldplay. I'm dreaming about travelling the world. And I'm in love with Italy. In August 2017 my dream came true and I visited this amazing country. And I definitely want to go there once again!

My favourite themes of postcards are:
• tourist cards - pictures of countries and cities you live in or something related to your homeland - map, landmarks, folklore (I'd like to visit whole world on postcards 😊)
• UNESCO sites sent from country of origin
• Star Wars, Assassin's Creed or Disney
• landscape paintings by Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet and C.D. Friedrich (esp."Wanderer above the Sea of Fog")
• nature (especially storm, Northern Lights, Milky Way, night sky, mountains, landscapes)
• animals, also illustrated (especially cats, flamingos, whales, owls... narwhals, if you have such one)

• positive/optimistic/motivational quotes

You may write something in your own language (with translation of course), tell me about customs of your homeland or draw something too.
I'm also happy to know your favourite song, band, book, movie or quote so you may write it if you want.
Maybe you can tell what comes to your mind when you think about Poland?
