Gardenia

Hello,

I'm Gardenia, a woman, 61 years of age.

I like art(s), history, philosophy, nature and gardening.
But also cultural things. For one, I've really fallen in love with our new restored Rijksmuseum. It has become so beautiful!
I also "rediscovered" Jan Toorop and the Jugendstil/Art Nouveau and the beautiful Art Deco, which artstyle has been applied in so many fields, like buildings, fourniture and so on.

Love to read all kinds of books, poems and haiku's.
Also music is important to me. Like to listen to all kinds of music, such as Jim Croce, Pink Floyd, Epica, Nightwish, but also Pavarotti and Bach for instance. Like to snuggle up on the couch with a good book, music and a pot of tea.

Fond of drawing and painting. Although,.. I'm not good in drawing and painting, but just like to do it.
Wish could paint and draw like Vincent van Gogh, one of my favourite painters.
Also like Mangadrawings and the films and drawings of the Japanese Ghibli studios.
Fond of photography, to do and to look at.
In short, I like to do and to learn more about a lot of things.

Joined Postcrossing because it's fun to send and to receive postcards/mail to/from allover the world and to hear about various things allover the world.
So it really would be nice if you would take a moment to write something about yourself or about things you're interested in, some thoughts, something about your country or a poem you like.

According to my chinese horoscope I'm a DRAGON, so cards with dragons will be very appreciated.
