About Anthony...

Greetings to you, dear reader, from the outpost of Sydney, Australia.

I've been on this planet for a little over 51 years now and I still get my kicks from:

❋ reading
❋ writing
❋ listening to music (esp. Dylan, Richmond Fontaine, Wilco, The Triffids, The Go-Betweens, The Apartments, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Gillian Welch, Gram Parsons, Big Star, Patti Smith, The Band, Grateful Dead, Townes Van Zandt, P.J. Harvey, Jay Farrar, Mark Olson/Gary Louris/Jayhawks etc.)
❋ making music
❋ playing music with friends
❋ songwriting
❋ writing haiku and other assorted passages of poetry
❋ getting to the essence of things
❋ walks at night
❋ walks during the day through the country when it's deserted
❋ big skies when the horizon stretches out into nothingness, seeing what's over the next hill and taking pictures of whatever I find there
❋ driving for long stretches
❋ watching good movies
❋ seeing plays (when it can be afforded)
❋ writing long letters to friends
❋ writing as a way of trying to work out what all of this is.

The rambling list above notwithstanding, I will be pleased and most thankful to receive any postcard you choose to send (especially self-made as it's something I enjoy doing myself - for those who do not mind receiving such cards) and I'm sure I will dig them all.

The important thing for me however, is the writing. If you get stuck for what to write, just write what you're doing or have been doing that day, write what is on your mind - your joys, your fears, your triumphs, your angsts, your confessions, what makes you happy - write a poem, a little story, make something up...anything. You can't go wrong.

Take care,

Anthony - Sydney, Australia
