Hello, my name is Frederiek and I hope you're having a great day!

I am a pensioner and I live in Holland, in a very small town 8 kms north of the biggest port of Europe: Rotterdam and 80 kms south of our capital: Amsterdam.

I love reading books, e-books and listening to audio-books.
My favourite books are: A high wind in Jamaica by Richard Hughes, The heart of the matter by Graham Greene, The Lifeboat by Charlotte Rogan, True grit by Charles Porter, To kill a mockingbird by Harper Lee, Hideous kinky by Esther Freud, Don't stop the carnival by Herman Wouk and The Lower River by Paul Theroux.

I also love to go to the cinema.
My favourite films are: Clockwise, Le ballon rouge, Paper Moon, Himalaya, Walkabout, Hideous kinky, The flame trees of Thika, Il ladro di bambini, True grit and Titanic.

My favourite television series are Downton Abbey and Fawlty Towers.

Moreover I love travelling.
I worked on board of a cruiseship, went to Bejing by means of the Trans-Siberian Express, went sailing around the Lofoten-archipelago in Norway on board of an old sailing ship, walked 200 kms on the pilgrims way to Santiago de Compostela, climbed the Ben Nevis in Scotland and walked the Annapurna Sanctuary trail in Nepal (4130 m).

I like walking 10-20 kms. I have been rockclimbing in Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg and indoors and used to skate and in-line skate.

My favourite music is music by the Gipsy Kings, Tekameli, and Camela. These are all Spanish groups. I also love flamenco-music.
My favourite song is Corazon Gitano by Nicola di Bari.

I like postcards with pictures of old sailingships, fishingports or of the sea. I also like cards with pictures from your town/country or landscapes from your area. I would probably not prefer a free ad card, a homemade card, a double folded card, a selfmade card or a touchnote card.
