About Franca...

Hi, I'm Franca, 56, happily married and mother to a son aged 21 and a daughter aged 23. We live in Delft, a very beautiful old city in The Netherlands, near The Hague and Rotterdam. I work (parttime) in the Delft council and I'm also a wedding officer: I perform weddings (about 2-3 per month, but now it's quiet) for the Delft municipality, which is great!

I'm an active scout - once a brownie, still volutary staffmember of a scoutcampsite - and so is my family. I like going to films, reading (most fantasy) and playing boardgames (like Settlers of Catan). I also like traveling: I've seen bits of Europe (UK - my favorite - Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, Luxembourg, Hungary, Austria, Switserland, Yugoslavia - a long long time ago), Bejing (impressive), Australia and New Zealand (both fantastic!)

My surname "De Vos" means "the fox", so I'm especially fond of cards of foxes. A fox-card makes me really really happy!
I also like:
- rainbows (and the northern light too)!
- cards about scouting/guiding
- art nouveau/jugendstil pictures like Mucha
- a card with something esoteric, like Buddha's, but also mandala's, and I'd really like a freemason-card (do they exist at all?)
- poetry or word-art
- cards connected to playing games
but any card you think is pretty or humorous is fine too

On your card please tell the sight to see in you city/village, or the place you like most (and why). Or maybe you can tell me which book you are reading or which movie you saw recently and whether you like(d) it.

And whatever card you choose, could you please write "fox" in your language on it!
- alepou or αλεπού (Greek)
- fox (English)
- Fuchs (German)
- "hu-li" or "hoo-lee" (Chinese)
- kettu (Finnish)
- kitsune (Japanese)
- lapé (Lithuanian)
- lis (Polish)
- лиса or "lisa" (Russian)
- lisica (Servain)
- liska (Czechian)
- lysytsia (Ukranian)
- niciuka (Belarusian)
- raev or rÆv (Danish)
- raposa (Portugese)
- rebane (Estonian)
- renard (French)
- rubah (Indonesian)
- volpe (Italian)
- vos (Dutch)
- Voss (plattdeutsch)
- zorro (Spanish)
- yeo u (Korean)

I'm looking forward to hearing from people from all over the world!
HAPPY POSTCROSSING!
