About Eric...

If everybody in the world would be a postcrosser, war would not exist. Nobody would fight against someone he/she knows (I hope)

Hello dear postcrossers!

My name is Eric and I'm living in Germany with two human beings. They both started postcrossing before and I also wanted to have an account for myself. As you can see at my picture (was in France) I'm a little bit special, but don't worry. Actually I'm very normal. I like traveling, gardening, movies, music, yellow and more. My people will help me with writing because my fingers are not really perfect for the keyboard or pencils.
Be free at your choice of postcards. I like them all. But to do me a favour you can send funny cards (self-made ones are very welcome) - surprise me!
Have a great time and enjoy life!
Greetings
Eric

Update (Attention – it’s a long text and you don't have to read it if you only want to send me a post card):

Now I’m here for a while and made some experiences. I saw a lot “wish lists”. That’s ok for me. It helps me to find the card I think it matches to the receiver. But I also often had the impression, that some people make a “shopping list” and don’t allow to send other cards.
So I have questions:
- Is it the intention of postcrossing to contact other people round the world and make them smile by a postcard with friendly words or is it a catalogue for postcards?
- What is wrong with sending self-made cards? Making postcards for the special receiver needs a lot of engagement and time.
Perhaps someone can give me an answer. Not only people who got my address to send a card to me, also people who visited my profile by chance. I really don’t understand. Maybe it’s my fault, because I’m strange or I didn't receive such a “bad” card up to now.
I really got great cards the last months. There were so many friendly words. Each time I read the texts I had a large smile in the face. The best one was a card from a little ape prisoned in a jar (was the picture on the front side). He told me the very funny (and for sure fictional) story why he was there. So do I. I love to tell stories about my life and send the according picture. Normally my humans take this photos and make a post card. I always try to take an episode from my life which is inspired by a favourite of the “wish list”. Look at my sent list and you see what I mean. Don’t you like?
It’s your time, it’s your money. Choose a card you like, write what you like.
I enjoy every smile postcrossing gives to me and to you!
Happy postcrossing (in the way you choose)!
ERIC
