I am a married retired Brit currently living in the north east of England but traveling is our main hobby having visited 82 countries to date. We always send ourselves a postcard or two from everywhere we visit and consequently have built up a fair collection over the last 45 years.
We have also lived in the far east off and on for a few years, hence the profile name and the avatar, which represents the Balinese demon spirit, Ogah Ogah and the subject of 'Nyepi' or Silent Day, an annual festival that is strictly observed in Bali. Everyone remains at home and all life shuts down. Even the airport closes and hotel guests are confined to the hotel grounds.
Would love to receive cards from anywhere in the world and the local stamps always make them more interesting. If I was to select a card for ourselves it would be (1) local topographical including maps, especially featuring both; (2) anything to do with cruise ships; and (3) vintage cards from your part of the world.
Please do not send the card in an envelope and no 'advert cards' or home-made cards. Save them for those who would like such cards.
I always try to use two, three or four different and interesting stamps on the cards I send and it would be great if you reciprocated.
Would love to read a sentence or two about the card you are sending and the reason you selected it.
Warmest regards and happy travels, Stuart.
