About Ksenia...

Hi! My name is Ksenia, I'm 26 years old and I live in Berlin, Germany. I was born and grew up in Russia. I'm come from West Siberia, that's why I love snow and frost and mis it a lot! I live with my cat that I love so much. Her name is Askja (because her fur is black like volcanic sand)
*Askja - is an Icelandic volcano.

I like languages, traveling, cultures, mythology and folk stories (so I'd be very glad if you share it with me, stories - are the soul of a folk), cooking (sharing recipies is a nice thing too), gardening, animals and being on nature. I'm a big nature-lover!

I love Scandinavian countries, especially Iceland. This is the land where I left my soul.

I studied Linguistics at the University (English, Spanish, German) and I'm learning some Icelandic by myself as a hobby., I'd like to learn as many languages, as it's possible, so you can write me something on your native language, that would be great:)

I'm also into music. It means to me a lot, connects me with other people and the world. I prefer folk, traditional music, metal and rock. But I listen to other styles too.
My favourite singer and musician is Eivør Pálsdóttir (she comes from the Faroe Islands).

I'm interested in history. I used to do historical reenactment of viking ages, though it still remains a big part of my life.

I'm glad to recieve any postcard you choose but if you have no ideas, there is a list of the things that I like and would be happy to find in my mailbox:

-history (early medieval/medieval)
-north, Arctic, Antarctica, ice, snow
-snow leopard/puma/fox/wolf/whale/bear/seal/owl (though I love nature and animals in general)
-volcanoes and mountains
-witches and all the staff that is connected with magic, traditions, folk stories and legends
-indigenous people of different countries

If you have no ideas what to write on the postcard you can write me something about yourself, your hobby, what food of your country you like, advice me some music or poetry, maybe tell me about your favourite place or at least share how you spent your day:). I'm always excited to learn something new about our beutiful and big world.
Just feel free to express yourself!

Happy postcrossing!
