About Ethel...

22 years, and not getting any younger haha.

I teach Deaf children. Started in August 2013 and it remained a passion up to today. Send me a postcard involving Deaf culture! Could be a word/expressive in sign, ASL or informative postcards of anything to do with the community itself.

99% of the time when I receive a postcard, I would read it first before turning it to the other side to look at the picture and go 'Aww, niiiice!' so any postcard would be fine, I prefer the ones with [insert your country here]'s historic monument though. If you delivered Andy Warhol, pop art, or oriental/Chinese pop art postcards, I would treasure it.

My postcards have a certain trademark to them - pen ink smudges. But I love the pen I'm using, I've been using it ever since I was 12 and it's the refillable type. And I'm not changing it even if it costs me my life. *grins*

I believe in the views I have and I am the most argumentative person.

I'm an avid reader, and Whose Line Is It Anyway and Jeff Dunham are my drugs. Add The Cleveland Show and How I Met Your Mother into the list. I don't care that Outsourced was canned, it's hilarious.

I happen to have a great amount of appreciation for humour.

I have an OCD for shoes, a trait I earned which ran strong in my mum's side of the family. Here's an idea if you don't know what postcard to send me; send me one of shoes and you'll make my year!

Photography is a small side hobby. I seem to have a strange attraction to vintage looking photos and old things, you know, the colour maroon, gold intricate details, fleur-de-lis's and bronze pocketwatches. I have always thought I was born in the wrong decade. As long as it's a vintage thrift store within Malaysia, you'll find me there. I dress like I just jumped out of the 60's machine, and make some of my own clothes. Earrings and accessories as well.

I'm magnetised to people who share similar interests in music with me but I believe people who are different than me are better because if two people have nothing in common, they'll never run out of things to talk about.

I get overexcited if I find that my postcard has said hello to your mailbox.

If you're interested to be penpals, drop me a line.

To the kind postcrosser, who I only managed to identify as Merelyn from Netherlands as stated on the card; who sent me a postcard of a picture from a poetry book, kindly message me the ID because apparently the one written is "not found."
